    Somebody Told Me

I declare that the whole world of Harry Potter is the sole property of J.K. Rowling and that this story was not written for profit.

"Harry Potter Missing for Over a Year!" trumpeted the headline of the Daily Prophet that Hermione was clutching in her hand. Her husband Draco looked at her over his own copy, and in such a strange way. Hermione knew he knew something. Her husband wasn't as subtle as he thought. She frowned at him over the edge, and from upstairs came noise as their two children argued. They both just rolled their eyes at it, and Hermione decided to strike. "So where is he?!" Draco shook his head and widened his eyes theatrically. "How am I supposed to know?" And then he took a deep breath. "Don't you think I couldn't care less where Potter is, when my father is all alone somewhere in France and refuses to talk to me?" Draco shook his head and settled more comfortably. "He'll never forgive me for us getting together..." He let it trail off, and Hermione swallowed. She knew Lucius had been strictly against their relationship and their marriage had literally driven him away. But suddenly a suspicion began to sprout in Hermione. "Don't you think Harry had the same opinion about it? Actually..." she smacked her lips, "I clearly remember that some of the things he said were exactly the same as your father's, just turned around a bit..." Draco swallowed and got lost in a memory...

"Dad, I've decided!" He burst into Lucius's bedroom and his eyes went wide when he noticed tangled legs. MALE legs, and a messy mop of dark hair resting on a strikingly white, muscular chest. "Dad?" he blurted out, trying to find his lost balance. At that moment Lucius opened his eyes and fixed them on him, Draco watched the sleepiness slowly leave them, and Lucius gasped. "Draco! WHAT are you doing here?" Suddenly a terrible anger shot through Lucius. "What do you want here?" And he tried to cover his company. His company, however, had no intention of taking anything into account, so he sat up, planted a smacking kiss on Lucius's neck and stretched luxuriously. He froze in that position as the realisation shot through his mind that they weren't alone and that a scandal was about to break. Draco gasped again and threw a quick look at Lucius. Then it all fell away from him and he started laughing. "Well, look at this! That's perfectly hypocritical, Father, you're aware of that, yes? A former Death Eater and a celebrity..." With that he turned, masking his surprise, and added without turning around, "We'll discuss it downstairs in the study, say in 30 minutes? So you have time..." And he left to come to terms with his discovery... Lucius looked at Harry, and Harry glumly returned his look...

He came back to the present and swallowed, knowing Hermione would pry it out of him within minutes. He pushed down the unpleasant feeling that he would pay for it, but decided to get the most out of it for himself. "Fine. They're together, happy?" Hermione's mouth snapped shut like a fish out of water and she straightened up. "Who? As in Harry has someone? Is he ashamed of them? Or what?" Draco suppressed an eye roll and the thought that his wife wasn't as sharp as she seemed, hid behind his newspaper again and then said, "My father and Potter." He waited, there was silence for a moment, and then an enormous shriek. "What???? Harry would never do that!" Draco lowered his paper slightly and added, "If you don't believe me, we'll go and visit them!" And with that he reached for his tea. Hermione kept staring at him murderously and didn't even notice she was no longer sitting. "Fine! We'll leave the children with Molly and Arthur and we'll go to France! I'm curious what we'll find there!" With those words she rushed up the stairs of their house like vengeance itself. Draco sighed, rubbed the bridge of his nose with his fingers and hoped Lucius wouldn't kill him. He himself had no idea what to expect there...

Hermione arranged everything admirably quickly and decided that Draco wouldn't let his father know about their visit. She grabbed a small suitcase and stuffed a few of their things into it. "Let's go!" Draco rolled his eyes, but went to the Floo. He hoped the two of them had enough sense not to be naked somewhere! With that he stepped into the fireplace, muttering the address.

Of course it was a vain hope, and before he could stop Hermione from seeing anything, she rushed through the Floo and completely bowled Draco over, then stood there with her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open. "Harry?!" she shrieked.

Of course they had both heard the roar of the Floo, but neither of them let it interrupt what they were doing. Lucius was lying naked on the sofa with his legs spread, and Harry was in the middle of sucking his cock. Lucius was in delirium, and Harry couldn't wait to be sitting on him. So the shriek of a woman's voice derailed them completely. Lucius just jerked his head up and grabbed a cushion beside him, pressing it to his crotch. Harry, on the other hand, fell over onto the floor and showed himself to the visitors in all his glory. All he could do was roll onto his stomach and mumble, "Damn it, Hermione! Can you turn around?" He ignored Draco beside her, since Draco had already seen him when he and Lucius started their relationship.

Draco recovered first. "We'll wait in the kitchen!" And he dragged away Hermione, who was still blinking like mad and trying to understand what her brain was telling her.

Lucius growled and helped Harry to his feet. "Well, that didn't work out." Harry chuckled. "Are you surprised it didn't work out? Hermione is the cleverest witch I know, and Draco had absolutely no chance of keeping it from her." Lucius just nodded and went hand in hand with Harry back to the bedroom to get dressed. "Silly man..." Harry muttered to himself.

"Are you kidding me? The two of you here are doing..." Hermione rubbed her temples. "Alright, are you in a proper relationship or are you just lovers?" she asked. Lucius, with a raised eyebrow, looked her over from head to toe, and Harry answered her. "We're a couple!" At that Hermione bristled. "Do you know half of England is looking for you? A year, Harry! You can fornicate at home too, or what's the problem?" Harry glanced back at Lucius. "Hermione. Nobody knows I'm gay, and Lucius is still a convicted Death Eater. How would that look? We want peace! We don't want to hide and keep explaining things to someone!" Hermione frowned. "Alright, but this can't go on forever. In the end you'll have to let it out. One day someone will catch you together! It doesn't matter that you're abroad, wizards travel too, and besides, lots of English people live here in France who know you! And Lucius too. Your explanation is completely off the mark. I don't know what to think. Maybe..." she fell silent and looked at Lucius, "this one has manipulated you! He's older, and as far as he's concerned, he could lose much more than you. After all, he's corrupting a promising young man and making him disappear on top of it. It could be seen as a kidnapping. You should think about that!" Lucius opened his mouth to object, but Harry stood up. "Fine. We'll think it over, and now maybe you could leave us in peace?" At that Hermione got up, grabbed Draco by the hand and dragged him after her without even saying goodbye to anyone. Lucius sighed...

Harry then went back into the living room and sat down on the sofa in the now empty room. Lucius sat down next to him and they both stared at the now silent fireplace. "She's right..." Lucius spoke up. "They'd have found out one day anyway." Harry looked at him. "Yeah. There's always some witch staring out of a window and telling tales. Even if we only went out at night, someone like that would turn up." Lucius chuckled at his comparison. "Then let's make it legal and put an announcement in the papers explaining your year long absence." Harry straightened up. "Are you asking me to marry you?" Lucius nodded. "I love you, you love me. Why not? Let's go for it and go back home. You miss England anyway. I can see it."

Hermione groaned when she saw the newspaper on the breakfast table with the huge headline "Harry Potter Found!". Draco sipped his milk and hummed, "Good morning, love... There's more, and it's much worse..." With that he tossed her another paper, which carried a different huge headline, "Potter Marries Death Eater Malfoy!". Underneath it Harry was waving his ring at her, with a dignified looking Lucius behind him. She rolled her eyes. "Why wait when I can shock straight away and exactly how I want..." Draco laughed proudly. "The Malfoy tactic... Strike first..."

I write mainly in the Harry Potter and Mo Dao Zu Shi fandoms, most often Snarry, Snamione, HarryLu and WangXian. My healthcare background means that anatomy, medicine and far too much research occasionally find their way into my stories. Cosplay is another way for me to play with the characters I love, whether I stay close to canon or turn them into my own fanfiction and AU versions.
