I declare that the whole world of Harry Potter is the sole property of J.K. Rowling and that this story was not written for profit.

Sirius Black sat at Harry's wedding pouring one glass of champagne after another down his throat. He wondered what James would say. His son was gay, and on top of that he had married a Malfoy! Sirius was sure he was turning in his grave, and Lily too. He raised another glass and took a long swallow. Lucius Malfoy. A Death Eater and the biggest womaniser around, who had bent over anything he could during his student years. He groaned and knocked back the whole glass. Lupin as well, he whimpered inwardly. When he straightened up, he froze. Because Severus Snape had just stepped onto the scene. Sirius frowned, and the anger he always felt when he ran into him surged through him. In fact, just seeing him was enough to make every hair on Sirius's body stand on end along with every nerve. What was it that stirred that anger in him? Maybe his obsession with Lily? Or that greasy hair? Or the fact that he was a damned black soul who had escaped punishment? After all, he was the one who had carried that damned prophecy to old snake face. Sirius got up, firmly determined to make Snivellus show his true face to the world. Nobody paid him any attention. He kept going until he staggered his way to Severus Snape and stood face to face with him.

Severus was aware of the fleabag's fixed, hateful stare. But he had no intention of showing it. He had no intention of giving him a single excuse to start a fight. He had only come to the wedding because Lucius was his longtime friend and had asked him to be his witness. He was firmly determined to behave decently and not ruin it. He wasn't so sure about the dog's abilities. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed him get up and stagger towards him. His legs kept tangling, he bumped into tables and guests, but his eyes were glued to Severus. Severus's lips twisted at the thought, and he growled when Sirius stopped right in front of him. He was shorter than Severus, and Severus thought it was like being barked at by a Chihuahua. He couldn't stop an amused smile, which disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. He watched Sirius open his mouth and trip over his own tongue. "Snivellus!" he spat. Severus gripped his glass. "What do you want here, you little bastard! This is Harry's wedding!" he barked. "With Malfoy! Lucius Malfoy!" 'As if everyone didn't know,' Severus thought wearily, watching Sirius warily. "James wouldn't approve, but it's Harry's choice!" He was talking nonsense. "And you've got no business being here. You, you." He didn't finish, because Severus decided that if there was going to be a show, it might as well be a proper one, and he gave in to his urge. He swung his arm, smashed his glass on the floor and grabbed Sirius by the hair. He pulled him close, roughly pressed his mouth to his and growled dangerously, "Just shut that drunk mouth of yours!" If anyone had been standing close enough in that moment, they might have seen Sirius's pupils widen. But they had no chance, because Severus Apparated away with him.

Harry stared at the place of the fight and didn't move. He wasn't far from rushing in and sorting out those two rams. Only one single thing stopped him. The silver snake head of Lucius Malfoy's cane. "Let them settle it once and for all." Lucius chuckled with amusement. "There's been sexual tension between them since Hogwarts, and neither of them would ever admit it." Harry opened his mouth to protest, when it dawned on him what Lucius had said. "What?" Lucius shook his head, leaned down and lightly bit Harry's neck. "Let's slip away..." he growled. Harry's knees buckled and he looked at him helplessly. "Couldn't we stay a little longer?" he pleaded, but a little flame of passion danced in his eyes. Lucius pressed his lips to Harry's cheek and kept growling. "We couldn't. Everyone will understand..." Harry sighed when Lucius's hands slipped under his shirt, which had been tucked into his trousers. He gave up. "Take me home, husband." Lucius smiled lecherously, turned to a house elf standing to the side and Apparated with Harry straight into their bedroom, where they gave themselves over to a passionate night. The elf looked at the spot where they had stood a moment ago and then snapped his fingers. He had received his instructions that morning, and so he went to carry them out.

Sirius pushed Severus away the moment his feet touched the floor. He staggered away from him and roared, "How dare you, Snivellus?!" Severus sneered. "How dare I what, dog! I made sure you didn't embarrass your godson," he spat. "You kissed me!" Sirius roared at him, and Severus started to laugh. "I shut you up! Don't read anything more into it!" He turned, determined to go to his bedroom and leave Sirius to his fate in the living room. He had almost crossed the threshold when a quiet voice came from behind him. "What if I'm glad you kissed me?" He stopped, silent and motionless. He tried to convince himself he had misheard.

Sirius stood there, his arms hanging at his sides, astonished at what had slipped past his lips, staring at Severus's back. A thought flashed through his befuddled brain. 'So that's what's been eating you, Padfoot.' He blinked and realised Snape hadn't moved the whole time. For his brain it wasn't a hard battle. Desire won. He took a few steps and wrapped his arms around Severus's waist from behind. Severus removed those hands from his waist, slowly turned around and stared into his eyes. As if he wanted to read some mischief in them. When he found none, he leaned down and trapped Sirius in a passionate kiss. He couldn't control himself. His whole body was screaming, 'YES! You've waited so long for this!' Sirius slowly surrendered in his arms. A thought flashed through Severus's head. 'Submissive? The dog is a sub?' That pleased his libido. He had been so sure Sirius would fight him for control. He purred contentedly and manoeuvred the almost limp and still drunk Sirius into the adjoining bedroom. 'He probably won't remember this in the morning, Severus. And you should realise that taking advantage of a drunk man is wrong.' Severus quickly brushed it away. 'He wants you! I'll only take what he's offering!' And with his foot he closed the door for good.

Sirius rolled around on the bed, grumbling contentedly. He hadn't slept this well in a long time. He pressed closer to the warm body and sleepily kissed the man's neck with his eyes closed. The body next to him turned onto its side and trapped him in an embrace. Sirius was damn well aware of who it was. And he had no intention of giving it up until Severus woke up and threw him out. The beginning of the evening was a bit hazy, but he had sobered up during their repeated lovemaking in the night. 'Soon it'll be over, Padfoot, and everything will be back to how it was.' With that last thought he fell asleep again.

When he woke up the second time, he was alone in bed. He stared at the ceiling and ran his hands over his face to rub his eyes. Then he sat up and ruffled his hair. "God, I don't want to!" he whined. "Then don't," a voice said from the doorway. Sirius looked up in surprise and met the eyes of Severus Snape, holding a tray of wonderfully fragrant pancakes. He took a breath and wanted to say something, when Severus cut in. "Don't bother blaming me for anything!" he warned him. Sirius opened his mouth in surprise. "I thought you'd be the one blaming me." He frowned. "Apparently not. I'm glad," Severus admitted aloud, "that it happened." Sirius couldn't find a word. After that confession Severus peeled himself off the doorframe and carried the pancakes on the wooden tray to the bed. He climbed in next to Sirius and offered him some, then took a pancake himself. Sirius watched him take a bite and watched his jaw and his Adam's apple move. He whined and took a pancake too.

Severus knew Sirius wouldn't start, so he started himself. "Lily knew. I was in love with you until the year you sent me off to be a werewolf's snack without a second thought." Sirius stopped eating and looked at him. "I was an idiot. I thought it was a good joke. I didn't realise how dangerous it was. And I was jealous. It bothered me that you liked Lily." Severus turned to him, but said nothing. "Ironic, huh? In the end you're into men, just like me." Severus looked at his hands. "Yes. But you're not the only one. The whole world thinks I was in love with her." Sirius nodded. "Yeah. So what now?" For a while there was silence, until a strange bubbling sound came from beside him. He looked at Severus in surprise, only to find he was trying to stifle a laugh. As soon as their eyes met, Severus's uncontrollable mirth burst to the surface and he started laughing like an idiot. "Look, if you find me funny, I can leave too!" Sirius started scrambling out of bed. Severus's hand held him back and Severus finally pulled himself together. "I'm not laughing at you! I'm laughing at the irony! Like you said! In the end we're both into men. Why the hell did we bother fighting so much? So many years down the drain, just because we're both thick headed idiots." Sirius thought about that statement and started to feel the fit of laughter coming too. He looked back at Severus, lowered his eyes and started cackling, which set Severus off again.

A good while later they lay next to each other, on their sides, facing each other, and talked. "Can we try this, Black?" Severus asked.

Sirius looked at him seriously. "Only if we set some rules. Don't call me dog and don't call me Black!" he growled.

Severus narrowed his eyes. "Fine! No Snivellus!" Sirius nodded seriously. "I solemnly swear!" Severus nodded and then curled the corners of his mouth and put on an exaggeratedly lovestruck expression. "So can I call you puppy?" He finally felt relaxed, so he suppressed his natural inclination to sarcasm and decided to provoke him. An angry roar and Severus's laughter echoed down the street...

By day, I work somewhere between marketing, copy and campaigns; by night, I usually end up somewhere between fanfiction, cosplay and yet another “what if” that refuses to leave me alone. I write mainly in the Harry Potter and Mo Dao Zu Shi fandoms, most often Snarry, Snamione, HarryLu and WangXian. My healthcare background means that anatomy, medicine and far too much research occasionally find their way into my stories. Cosplay is another way for me to play with the characters I love, whether I stay close to canon or turn them into my own fanfiction and AU versions. In Diary of a Slytherin Girl with ADHD, I write openly about life with a brain that usually has far too many tabs open at once.
